As has become tradition, this year’s season was kicked off a month before the official competition with preseason training at 8:30am at Maroubra Beach and Heffron Park and the inclusion of various trial matches. The dedication for the players to attend and train for their beloved sport is a tribute to their commitment for themselves and the team as a whole.

With 3 games already under the Kytherians belt, we find ourselves at the top of the table against our rivals. The form and skill thus far can be attributed to the hunger these men feel for the game and their love to purely play the sport. This year’s team, though with the majority of returning players, is a younger team that has previously played though with just, if not more hunger to play.

With the constant influx of new players and the dedication I have seen we hope that this year, as with hopefully many years to come, see the Kytherian Soccer Team advance to the top.

KYA Kings (Indoor Soccer Team)
After defeating their opponents to become champions in July 2008, the Kytherian indoor soccer team, better known as KYA Kings, put their heart and soul into every match every Monday night. The guys see it as training for the outdoor games, but at the same time see it as an opportunity to prove to themselves they can do it once again.
